Nairobi – The City of Difference

Nairobi is one of the most interesting and magnificent cities of Africa known for marvelous sightseeing with energetic and tireless people. The national park is stretched over an area of about thirty thousand acres comprising grassy plains, canyon and dense forests.

The park also accommodates a Rhino Sanctuary that is one of its kinds. This is the best place to watch black rhino. The population of this animal has gone down considerably but due to conservation parks like rhino sanctuary there population has grown up. This park is also a great place to spot some of the most exquisite migratory and permanent species of birds. The park is home to around five hundred species turning it into a paradise for bird watchers.

National Museum is one of the must visit places in Nairobi known for exhibiting the relics and artifacts of cultural and natural history. The exhibition of the museum includes prehistoric artifacts, fossils from Lake Turkana, hundreds of stuffed birds and animals along with some marvelous displays from tribal groups of Kenya.

The stuffed birds that are on exhibition range right from tiny hummingbirds to eagles. One can also find a very interesting collection of stuffed mammals exhibiting life size giraffe, elephant, zebra etc. The museum also exhibits a restaurant at ground floor from where one can catch the great views of the beautiful jungle.

The nightlife scenario in the city caters in different ways and there is something for everyone. Entire city is full of lively and exciting venues that offer drinks and dance with a great dose of music. Some of the must stop bars include The Lord Delamere Terrace Bar and Zanze Bar situated at Moi Avenue which is a great top-floor bar that offers cheap food and a variety of drinks. These bars and clubs generally remain busy on weekends so please kindly make a note of it.
