Preschool Sunday School Crafts
Church. There are thousands of words that can describe what a church is. For some it is a safe house, a place for peace, friendships, and worshiping the Lord. Whether you attend a small church, large church, non-denominational church, or a strict Catholic church, they all share a common ground: connecting with God.
At a very young age, children are taught the importance of attending church and being a good Christian. Sunday school helps kids learn about Jesus on a level that they understand. Preschool Sunday school crafts help to teach young children about God, and allow them to have fun at the same time.
If you can’t afford the supplies for preschool Sunday school crafts then consider holding a preschool fundraiser to raise the money. Families expect preschool fundraising campaigns and will support them if their children benefit.
Consider Crafts as Sunday School Teaching Aids
It is hard to teach preschoolers about the amazing love that God has for us, because it is so deep and rich that it is hard for young children to understand. Crafts are such a useful tool, because with them you can teach the kids about God and keep them entertained. There are so many kinds of Sunday school crafts that you can do with your class; it would be hard to repeat one.
A very popular craft is creating a manger and a stable out of popsicle sticks. While the kids are working on the manger, you can tell the story of the birth of Jesus and explain why the manger was so important. Another very popular craft is to make tie dye shirts. You can teach the kids about all of the great gifts that God has given us, like bright colors, trees, birds and music. And then you and the class can create tie dye shirts and they can see what amazing things that God can do through them.
A great Preschool Sunday School Craft is a bake sale. You can ask the kids to make cookies or brownies with their parents and bring them to church on Sunday. Then the class can sell them after worship, and put it in the offering. This will teach the kids, that even young children can make a difference in the church. If you want to show the class why giving is so important you can start a canned food drive. Explain to the class why God says that we should give to the people who do not have anything. Then week by week ask the kids to bring in canned goods. After a few weeks go by, the class can drop off the cans at the mission, and see why their help is so greatly needed.
Whether you are making Popsicle stick mangers, or creating tie dye shirts, there are endless ways for you to make preschool Sunday school crafts with the kids. If you do not want to make a big craft for that Sunday, ask the kids to draw a picture of what they think heaven is like. Preschool Sunday school crafts to not have to be extravagant, but you do want to make sure that they help to teach about God.
