She has the ability to grant her master whatever he wishes for. In the game, the master of the genie, Shara, is the Blue Blur superhero Sonic the Hedgehog. Erazor Djinn is the evil genie that corrupted the Arabian Nights and plan to dominate the world. Erazor gains his power through manipulating the story in the book. He did this so that he could enter the real world and dominate it. Erazor Djinn and Shara are proclaimed enemies in the series and are often found quarreling.

The game has several forms of experiences including stage experience, action bonus, pearls, rings, grinding, time break, speed break, enemy bonus, ring bonus, technical bonus and mission bonus.
