Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Review
The outer design of this Sony Model mobile phone is sleek and slim and features a keyboard onscreen QWERTY. Its size is 4.7×2.5×0.5 inches, leaving it slightly shorter and slimmer than a U.S. one dollar bill. It is available in a shiny chic black or lustrous white color. It comes equipped with an 8.1 megapixel camera with a 16 times digital zoom with automatic focus, making it perfect for those who place great importance on picture taking. Pictures can be automatically sent to the Web. It comes with the Android Operating System and is SIM free and unlocked, meaning it can be used with most all major services providers and retails it retails at an affordable price for most users.
The phone has many standards available for music lovers. Track identification, Media Player, Album Art, Bluetooth stereo, Play Now and Music Tones are the main components an avid music person would find highly useful. It has WiFi capabilities making it easy to keep up with email and web feeds. Media, Youtube, 3D Games, Video Streaming, Video Clips and Sony Ericsson Mediascape come standard for those who like to entertain themselves or others without having to carry the bigger cellular models coming out to compete in the marketplace.
Xperia X10 comes with a micro USB connector and the standard 3.5 mm audio jack. Bad with directions or travel a lot for work or play? Take advantage of the Wisepilot turn by turn navigation system and Google maps. All the basic email, text messages, picture messages and predictive text input make this an easy phone for daily texting activities. Its communication apps are Twitter, Sony Ericsson Timescape Integration and Facebook. The basic organization tools such as an alarm, calendar, calculator, flight mode and phonebook make this phone handy as these tools have been quite the minimums on most phones from the beginning and are used to some degree by most everyone.
The Xperia X10 has proven to be extremely popular cell phone, so much so that Sony Ericsson decided to release the X10 Mini. This is one of the smallest Android based phones on the market. Despite it’s small size and weight of only 88g this phone is also packed with features such as GPS navigation. Another addition to this range was the Xperia X10 Mini Pro – which is a smaller version but also manages to feature a slide out QWERTY keyboard.
Overall, the simplicity of the X10 phone makes a great product for those who don’t need or want all the flair and “high tech” features of some of the newer phones out on the market. Some people still like a phone for just that. A form of communication. The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is certainly capable of providing easy means for daily usage as well as allowing the person to stay in touch with the people and associates in their lives. The price tag is a little steep for such a seemingly simple phone, but again, it does have higher end capacities without the bulk and size of some of its competitors.
