Here is a big big misconception amongst guys. Some men and yes, there are guys who think that a date is only successful when the couple ends up having sex. I think this is not right? Why can’t a romantic date or a happily enjoyable one be counted as a great and successful first date?

There can be a lot of fun on a first date that does not lead to sex. This is especially true if you are looking for a long term relationship. Having sex on a first date may even cheapen the relationship forming negative impressions on each other’s mind like they are so cheap. This could lead to adverse consequences and a long term relationship could be in jeopardy.

If the both of you sensed that there is a good sexual chemistry, then this is the moment that you can set up a second date. As the date is coming to an end and both of you are enjoying it, then take something from the conversation and playfully turn it into plans for a second date.

For example, if he/she expressed an interest in a particular type of food, then set up a second date to go to that restaurant that serves that type of food. Even better, if you can cook, tell her that you will get the recipe and invite her over to taste your cooking.

So you see, what to do after that first date will depend very much how that first date went and what you do and say after that. The initiative is completely yours with some clever ideas.
