Desktop Sharing software is used extensively in businesses that offer technical and computer support. It will allow a technician to work on the computer as if they are sitting in front of the monitor. Since it is all tracked by the computer it makes taking notes obsolete because you can always check the various logs and email that you receive during the meeting. Many companies have begun to use Web Video Conferencing because of its efficiency and savings. Until Online Business Meetings became more prevalent, many business people found their day taken up by driving to and from meetings. Now that they do not have to leave their office, they only have to schedule a block of time from the meeting beginning to its end with no wasted time and as many people as needed can attend the online meeting. The amount saved in gas alone is enough to make a major impact on a company’s bottom line not to mention if the meeting is taking place out of the area. The savings from having to purchase airline tickets, rental car, hotel and food alone are enough reasons to make the switch.
