Effective Article Marketing
Many have realized that writing articles is good marketing, but still might want to consider effective article marketing. There is a whole lot more to articles that just writing something down. It is one of the key parts, and you can’t have an article without it, but there is much more to making this marketing technique effective.
The first thing you want to consider is adding in keywords. These phrases you are going to use in the title of your article, throughout the body of the article, and in the resource box or bio box at the end of the article. You are also going to want to tag the article with the keywords. This all helps the article get recognized by the search engines when someone searches the phrase you used. Do not over use them though. I recommend using the phrase once every one hundred words. If you flood the article with just one phrase; chances are it will sound wrong.
Another technique for effective article marketing is making sure your article flows and captures their interest. You can have hundreds of views for your article, but if they aren’t clicking your link then it’s just wasting time. You want it to be engaging, informative, and compelling. You want them to click your link so you need to entice them into it. You can help with this by writing about your niche in a way that is somewhat humorous but still informative. You can also choose to right it in a way that startles them. Usually if they are shocked by something they read they will want to read more about it and click the link to do so.
The resource, or bio box at the end of your article is one of the most important pieces, but it tends to be overdone a lot. Many people think that they need to throw in additional information in this box to get people to click. This is not true at all. You should be putting all the information in the body of your article and leaving the resource box as a cliff hanger. Keep your box simple. You really don’t need anything fancy. All you want is about three sentences. In the first sentence use your keyword and surround it with an anchor text link. By doing this you turn your phrase into a link that will lead them to your site when they click it. You are also going to want an action sentence. Something that lets them know there is more information available. Use an anchor text link in this sentence too, but use it with something like “click here” instead of your keyword. The last sentence you would need might be one to join the other two together. Remember that you want the article to flow so don’t make it sound choppy. The use of the anchor text and keywords in your resource box is a very effective article marketing technique, and it’s one that is relatively simple to make use of.
