Get Onboard the Solar Energy Bandwagon
Now is the time to get onboard the solar energy wagon.
Although it seems like a hefty investment to install solar panels on your home (the average cost probably runs around $13,000) you will more than recoup the cost in less than a decade.
Meanwhile, you will see an immediate pay off in your reduced energy costs.
By getting onboard now instead of later, you will be doing your part to reduce your carbon footprint. Just think if every person on earth, or at least every American, took a small step to reduce their carbon footprint, the whole world would be so much better off.
You may have a hard time spending the money just for you, but if you look at it as an investment in your future and especially your children and grandchildren’s future, it makes so much more sense.
If you don’t want to do it for you, then do it for future generations. We need to concentrate on ways to sustain the earth’s natural resources. We need to figure out alternative methods to find that energy. The more people who get onboard and begin exploring solar power as an option, the more research will go into it. In addition, the more companies will turn toward solar power and the more companies that get onboard, the less expensive solar energy will become.
It is all about the power of momentum. Once people start getting more interested in solar power, through something as simple as installing solar panels on their home, the more investment will be made into this technology. The more investment, the easier and more affordable it will become for everyone.
Another great repercussion will be that your small actions might even help prevent war. How many wars have been fought over oil and the ability to tap that energy? How much blood has been spilled over a desire to own that source of energy? We can separate ourselves from all of it by turning to an alternative energy source. That will take the power out of the oil. That will remove the greed from people who seek to make millions from that resource. That will ultimately save lives.
So if you don’t want to do it for you, you don’t want to do it for future generations, then maybe consider doing it as a way to save lives. It is a heady thought, but it is quite possibly a true one.
Solar energy is the wave of the future. It is just plain smart to get onboard now, when it seems early. It will be like computers were 20 years ago. Two decades ago it was hard to believe that one day nearly every home in America would have a computer. Now it just seems natural and normal. Solar power and energy will be like that one day, where we will have a hard time looking back and remembering that once upon a time only a few of us used this source of energy. One day, we will all use solar power in our homes.
