Honda’s 2010 Odyssey is Efficient, Practical and Convenient
If you are looking for a minivan that has a seating capacity of up to eight persons and handles almost like a car, you might want to take a look at the 2010 Odyssey from Honda. It’s not exactly a hot rod or the most exciting car in the world but it does what it’s supposed to; it’s efficient, practical and convenient. This car is perfect if you need to drive around a large number of people on a frequent basis. The styling of this vehicle is modern and contemporary with 18″ alloy wheels to complement its appearance. A few of the upper trims come installed with a power tailgate which makes it super easy to load and unload heavy cargo. This vehicle available in four different trims, LX, EX, EX-L and the top of the line Touring model.
The Odyssey is equipped with a six cylinder 3.5 Ltr with a total output of 244 hp and 240 lb feet of torque. It’s not quite a race car but 244 hp is actually a lot of power for a minivan. In fact, the engine is the most powerful in its class. In terms of fuel economy this vehicle gets 16 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the freeway. This minivan handles exceptionally well, it drives and feels just like a regular car out on the road.
A lot of thought has been put into the interior in order to make it as functional and comfortable as possible. The cabin has designed to be well insulated and stays quiet even at fast speeds. The driver’s seat can be adjusted in ten different ways. If you opt for Honda’s satellite linked navigation system, you also get a super cool feature called “Song By Voice” which allows you to switch up the music by using simple voice commands and enables you to leave your hands on the steering wheel .
There are a total of three rows of seats, some which can be adjusted for even more room. Standard features include an AC system, power windows and a telescopic steering wheel. There is an optional navigation system available can be directed by using voice commands and it has the ability to provide restaurant reviews and menus as well as the regular turn by turn directions.
A ton of safety features have been included in order to maximize passenger and driver protection. The anti lock braking system functions in tandem with the electronic brake distribution system which help to maintain control when the brakes are suddenly pressed. Active head restraints protect the neck and help to prevent whiplash during a collision. Vehicle Stability Assist corrects understeer and oversteer. There is even an optional camera available which can be quite useful when you’re backing out of a spot or parallel parking. A tire pressure monitoring system is also in place which lets you know when your tires are under or over inflated.
If you are in the market for a minivan that can seat up to eight individuals and is practical and functional, the Odyssey could be a good match. The Odyssey has the most powerful engine in the minivan segment and it also offers cool features like Honda’s “Song By Voice”. The cost of the base model is around twenty four thousand dollars; a solid price for an efficient car built by Honda.
