Wedding Favors Packaging Materials

Just like Christmas, people get all too busy wrapping gifts so that it is a surprise for the receiver. Unwrapping the gifts is an event that is filled with joy and anticipation. When your special wedding day arrives, wrap your wedding favors in such a way that your guests will feel the same way.

Unlike Christmas, when all you need are Christmas gift wraps for the gifts, packaging your wedding favors will need more preparation and creativity to make them look as special as your wedding day. Here are the basics of wedding favor packaging:

– Favor box or favor bags – This can either be a bag made of paper or fabric, and favor boxes can range from mini boxes to large ones with a transparent plastic windows. Both are elegant and can take care of your favor but there are some considerations before choosing the right packaging. First, check the weight of your favor particularly for the decorative ones. For crystal favors or ones that are made of wood or any other hard material, check if a paper bag can hold it or if a bag made of fabric will do. If you have a large favor, or something delicate in nature, use boxes with transparent windows so the guests can see the inside and will know that the favor needs to be handled with care.

– Organza bags – Organza bags are an elegant, yet simple way to package a variety of favors. These bags come in various sizes and some even come with tassels and other decorations. What is nice about these bags is that they look very nice and all you have to do is insert your favor into them and attach a favor tag or label to the exterior. Organza bags are also available in an assortment of colors and designs.

– Ribbons or lace – Unlike ribbons that are bowed and used during Christmas, ribbons for your wedding favors are ideally the ones specially printed with your wedding details. Use ribbons or lace that is not too wide. Most favors are small in size anyway.

– Favor Labels – Instead of gift tags, you can write the details of your wedding, the name of the receiver (this is optional), and your names on favor labels instead. You can choose between hang tags, mini cards or sticker labels. Same with the favor bags, the use of these favor labels are dependent on the favor. If there is a prominent area in the body of the favor itself, you can place the sticker label on that area. If you already used a sticker label on the favor, do not place another hang tag or a mini card as this will be redundant and add extra cost and time to preparing your favors.

Also, remember that the color of the favor bag or box, the color of the ribbons and favor labels, are the same as your color motif or a shade that can complement it. Packaging wedding favors can be as simple as you want it to be. No matter which ones you use or how elaborate your packaging is, it is indeed the thought that counts when packing your wedding favors.
