Which Wedding Accessories
Ok so you’re planning your wedding and you have about a million and one thing to consider like themes, colour schemes, guest lists and venues. By this point you are probably going mad and hopefully not tearing your hair out (you have to look good on your special day) and have all sorts of organisation lists that you are going through. I apologise now because I am about ready to throw as huge spanner in the works of your wedding planning (go away now if you don’t want your plans destroyed or read on if you are open to some suggestions).
There are so many themes / approaches you can take to your wedding and there are some even drastic themes like Shrek, Star Wars and many more weird and wacky themes you can think of. What if you want a more traditional / vintage look? I can only guess the first question you have asked is that’s going to be difficult? There can’t be that many people selling vintage wear for weddings.
First of all don’t look so worried there are so many resources out there to help with buying such products that in a number of ways you are spoilt for choice. Also there is that much choice out there that you are very much able to get the look you want without any major issues. There a whole number of retailers out there which sell shoes, jewellery and other vintage wedding accessories. There are so many decades to take inspiration from:
– 1920s
The decade of Greta Garbo and Charlie Chaplin with round toe shoes with single heels. Then come the pearls and ostrich feathers. What a decade!!
– 1930s
The 1930s, more glamorous with masses of jewellery where gowns and sparkly heels were very popular.
-1940s
Even more glamour with v neck gowns, shoulder detail and wider hips. Jewellery makes a statement here but with only one piece.
-1950s
Fur fur and more fur. The 50s wedding would be truly stylish with Marilyn Monroe heeled shoes, jewellery and skirted dresses.
There some inspiration for you. By now you’re either continuing to read or this has not been to your liking and you’re gone. It wasn’t that bad was it? If I still have your attention then read on, clearly you have now have a liking to the idea. There are a number of online resources to help you buy your vintage wedding accessories which can include hairpieces and other outfit accessories. I suggest starting with Google and getting your ideas together.
Hopefully these ideas will make your wedding truly be your one day in the light and you will look amazingly unique with your vintage wedding accessories. It would be interesting to see if you can get you venue decorate in a vintage style. Good luck and I wish you the best for the future. I hope I haven’t ruined any plans you have and I very much that you still have your hair intact.
