The patients should wait for 3 more days or so after taking the medicine doses of a day. Doses exceeding the 5 grams are fatal to any adults if you are taking the seeds of the Colchicum. Dose of a gram to 1 1/2 grams can kill a child. 200 milligrams of Colchicine is fatal to any people.

Colchicum toxicity will be shown in 3 to 6 hours of ingestion. At the very first the patient may feel the mouth is burning. Then he will feel thirsty. After twelve to fourteen hours they patient may start vomiting and he may experience the diarrhea, stomach pain, spasms in the bladder and blood in the urine. The patient may slowly lead to the condition of paralysis. Exhaustion, asphyxiation, collapse and then finally death can become the ultimate fate.
