School-age children are naturally inquisitive and learns easily through pictures. They are capable to throw tantrums giving you a difficult time in pacifying him. However, they are easy to distract. True, many parents would agree that celebrating a school-age child’s birthday is a chore that requires a lot of energy and creativity.

If not, then you can convince someone to be the clown. Your younger brother may volunteer, and this would be a lot helpful because he would most probably stay and help you watch over the kids.
