Should You Enroll in an Exercise Class
The terms diet and exercise seem to go together like a wink and smile. For this reason, in order to see real results from your healthy eating, it is important to get into the habit of working out on a regular basis. While some people prefer to exercise on their own and in their own way, others can really benefit from organized exercises classes. Most people consider exercise being walking or moving around the house, others need weight training, cardio, playing sports, doing other things besides moving around the house.
If you have trouble staying motivated to stick with an exercise routine, it can be invaluable to find an accountability/workout partner. It is more fun to reach a goal when you have a solid support system, so when you find yourself feeling discouraged or less than motivated be sure to let your workout buddy how you’re feeling. If you don’t have an actual workout partner who is able to take an exercise class with you, you can ask a close friend to be your workout accountability partner. On the days when you’d rather skip the gym and eat chocolate cookies all day, give your accountability partner a call and receive some timely encouragement.
It’s a proven fact that if you hate something, there’s no way you’ll stay with is. For this reason, it’s important to take an exercise class that you truly enjoy so you will be more encouraged to stick with it. Whether you take a dance class, yoga or spinning, make sure you enjoy it and truly have fun exercising.
If you are new to the exercise class circuit, you have to remember to give yourself time to get accustomed to working out. As with anything, some days will feel incredibly easy, and other days will make you feel as if you’ve never exercised a day in your life. No matter how you feel, make sure you commit to sticking with your class long enough for working out to become a priority in your life. A lot of people tend to give up once starting a program because the others in the class are more advanced. You have to keep in mind these people that are now advanced were in your shoes when they first started the class as well.
I’ve noticed that the most effective class is a fitness boot camp or group training with a professional certified personal trainer. These aren’t your typical exercise classes. They usually consist of cardio, resistance training and core strengthening. If you find a good trainer or program this is the best thing you can do. Also these exercise classes are loaded with people with the same goals which means you can motivate each other and make new friends as you get in shape.
Exercise classes that have been gaining popularity are kickboxing classes and mixed martial arts classes which are an amazing form of cardio. Also this is a very high intensity cardio so it might not be suited for all. make sure you check with your doctor before starting any exercise program.
