With the R4 SDHC you are able to really get a lot more use out of your R4 card because you can add many more types of media onto your micro SD Card.

Which card you get really depends on what you plan to use your card for. If you plan on just some gaming and apps, then the original R4 DS Card is a perfect fit. However, if you plan on using your R4 for movies, music and other things besides just games and apps, then the R4 DS is the right fit.
