One speaker handles low frequencies while the other one handles high frequencies. These two types of frequencies are successfully divided through electronic methods. Due to this kind of mechanism in these component speakers, they can produce great sound, the best one compared to the kind of sound projection from dual cone and coaxial speakers.

Sub-woofers are mostly useful in setting bass frequencies. They are ideal for use in projecting thunder-like sounds. These sounds can be produced by coaxial and component speakers but you can still decide to invest in sub-woofers based on your personal judgment.

An important pointer though when it comes to buying waterproof audio speakers is the size of the area where the new speakers will be placed. Large speakers would project better sound than the smaller speakers. But this also means that you should have a large area to accommodate the speakers.
