Websites are so common these days that many people think of them as an everyday convenience. Obviously your own experience will just be with using websites to buy items or for research. Do you understand that thoughts that went behind the build of the site, the design, and the calls to action that will have prompted you to buy certain products or the technologies that go behind it? Also if you build a site in this way will it be search friendly otherwise there is no point. You really are in deep water here without experience and this cheap solution may well be good but it most likely will not cover everything you need.

So the next option is to hire a professional. Like any kind of work you have done whether it is your home roof, car, building work you will always do the same and get a few quotes and work done by people recommended to you. This works in exactly the same way, you will test them on their ability, look at their previous, and look at recommendations. Most people will find success with a good web design agency. Don’t consider this as the expensive option as there really are some very good cheap web design agencies out there with some very good skill. The advantage you have aswell is the cheap web design industry is ram packed with people and finding a good tangible solution should not be hard.

Ok the last option ‘your mum’s auntie’s cousin who is a student at University studying web design’. Depending on whom this student is this may or may not work for several reasons. First off they may not have any legitimate experience in the industry so may be very limited in their knowledge of current web design standards and technologies, however that’s not to say they can’t design a website. You have to judge this correctly in the same way that you wouldn’t allow a roofer to repair your roof without any experience. My advice is to stick with using a professional web design agency to ensure they get everything right for your business.
