Cash Saving Business Telephone Calls

We are a haulier business and our success depends on how well we can intercommunicate with each other. One breakdown in communicating can cost us a lot of money that we can not afford to lose. My drivers need to be able to chat to me at the drop of a hat and the same goes for when I want to speak to them. The office always used landlines to phone the drivers who were on mobiles and this was resulting in sizeable monthly bills. I really did start to panic when the monthly bills came in and landed on my desk. Money was very tight when the economic crisis hit and I really did not want to waste a cent of the company money.

There was also another downside. On occasions, mobile signals or batteries would cut out and this was actually what we could do without. We want to be able to get in contact with the drivers promptly when customers change their mind. When we can not contact them, this results in wasted manpower. Very often on occasions, if we could get in touch with them, then the signal was so weak and there was a lot of interference which made it impossible to hear them.

I had been probing around for different communication packages but a lot of the time, these were misleading. For example one we nearly ended up buying into was only economically viable if you made outside calls. We looked at what our competitors were using. It seemed there was light on the horizon, when I went to a conference and there was a Telecom advisor there who knew what he was talking about. His self-assurance in his product made me feel good.

He took one look at the equipment in the administrative centre and knew straight away what to do. He was even able to suggest more ways to save cash. In the sitting he presented his overall package and plan. He gave all the workforce a briefing so they too, would be able to help with saving money. In fact it could hardly have been simpler to understand. Straight away I could see an improvement in the communication between office staff and drivers.

The best part about the recent system is just how cost-efficient it is. It was also easier to keep track of bills as they now all come in one monthly bill. Our future needs are also sorted as within a telephone call, I can upgrade our account if I want to. Losing contact with our drivers is now a thing of the past.

The drivers themselves feel a lot happier that channels of communication are so much more smooth so that they can report back unforeseen problems in traffic, weather conditions etc, which in turn can help their colleagues. As a business, we are looking forward to the future and it is thanks to one Telecom consultant. Communication is better than it ever has bee before and I am looking forward to the future now.
