You should take good care of them by putting them away in a clean state already so that they will not gather more dust in your jewellery box. For instance, you need to take good care of diamonds, colored gemstones, and pearls in order to make them look even more precious. These are expensive jewellery pieces that only deserve the best care that you can give.

Diamonds are good investment for you especially with their escalating value. However, they will remain exquisite if you subject them to proper care. If you value something, you should not fail to show that you really care. First up, you need to keep these diamond pieces away from each other or their being hard elements would result to lots of scratches on the surface of the diamonds. It is best if you will wrap them with soft cotton or silk subtle cloth before you should put each piece in different jewelry boxes. This will take care of them while they are stored safely away.

Cleaning diamonds is needed especially if you wear them daily. The stone gets damaged by cosmetics, soap, oily skin, harsh detergents and other sources of dirt accumulated as you wear the diamond piece. If you insist on wearing your diamonds on any normal day, just be sure to remove them before you will start with your daily household chores.

Pearls need delicate care due to their soft and porous texture. The best cleaning item for them would be moist cloth. Do not expose your precious pearls to cosmetics and chemicals that you tend to use everyday such as perfume, soap, cosmetics, detergents, and hairspray.

Silver should also be kept one by one in different boxes. Again, put them in cotton wrapping first before anything else. Do not expose it to a chlorinated swimming pool where sulfur and chlorine would destroy the jewellery pieces.
