Nissan’s Juke is a Compact Car With a Big Attitude
Nissan’s Juke is a crossover vehicle with a big attitude and best of all it offers a lot of cool amenities at an affordable price. This auto has a distinct and one-of-a-kind appearance due to its muscular curves that look pretty similar to those found on the Infiniti cars and its taillights were inspired by those found on the sportier 370Z. The Juke is definitely not a car for those why like to shy away in the background; its bold appearance is sure to get the driver noticed just about anywhere. The base model is competitively priced in the $22k range.
Standard features include a stereo system with a cd player and mp3 playing capabilities, a tilt steering wheel, and slick seventeen inch aluminum alloy wheels. The steering wheel comes with audio controls which makes it easy to adjust to adjust the volume or change radio stations. Standard integrated Bluetooth capabilities allows for hands free calling while a rear view camera is available at an additional cost which facilitates backing up and parking in narrow spaces. Nissan’s Intelligent Key system allows you to unlock the door by simply tapping on the door as long as you have the key in your pocket or purse while the engine can be started by the push of a button. Trunk space is at 10.5 cubic feet and the rear seat can be folded for a total of 35.9 cubic feet.
The Juke is propelled by a V4 1.6 Liter with a total output of 188 horsepower. Four cylinders may not sound like a ton, but it’s more than enough power for a daily driver. You can select from three different driving modes; Eco which saves gas, Sport which offers a bit more power and Normal mode. Gas mileage stands at 27 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. Transmission options include a 6-speed automatic and a continuously variable automatic transmission. Consumers can choose from all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive. One drawback is that this vehicle requires expensive premium gas at the pump. However, it offers excellent handling and precise steering; it easily zips in and out of traffic due to its small size.
The Juke was built with optimum passenger and driver safety in mind. Features include an advanced an air bag system with dual front, side curtain and front side impact bags. The Anti-Lock Brake System helps to maintain vehicle control and the Traction Control System works to apply pressure to the brakes as necessary during critical moments. Vehicle Dynamic Control is standard and there is a built-in alarm system to keep the vehicle protected from theft.
If you’re looking for a spunky car that has a ton of personality then the Juke could be a suitable match. This car is fun to drive around town, it offers decent gas mileage plus it even comes standard with Bluetooth capability and a keyless remote control. Best of all the, the price is also on the reasonable side.
