Top 5 Signs You May Have a Yeast Infection

Hi everyone! For this article, I decided I would talk about the top 5 signs that you may have a yeast infection. Yeast infections are fairly common, and it is something that a lot of people deal with. You would be surprised just how many people search the net for information about yeast infections. By far the biggest question people ask is what are some signs of a yeast infection? With this article, I hope to answer your question as I will share the top 5 signs of a yeast infection. This is information that I have gathered through many years of experience and research.

1. Itching!

This is a fairly obvious sign, but it is by far the top sign. If a part of you is itching severely, this may be a sign of a yeast infection. Keep in mind, this isn’t just a normal itch. This would have to be a pretty severe itch. If you have a severe itch and you are scratching in a certain spot repeatedly, then this is your first sign of a possible yeast infection. Also, regardless of whether it turns out to be a yeast infection or not, try not to scratch the itch!

2. Location

You might be dealing with a part of you itching, but where? The location of your itch can be very important. Yeast Infections are more likely to grow in places that you don’t normally scratch such as the mouth or the vagina. If you have severe itching on either of these locations, then this can definitely be a sign of a yeast infection.

3. Burning/Soreness

Most people focus on the itching part of a yeast infection and assume that is the only feeling they will feel. However, many yeast infections also include burning or a soreness type feeling. If you are experiencing burning or soreness in a certain spot that is also itching, then you may have a yeast infection. Remember, don’t scratch the itch!

4. Painful Sex

This is kind of a touchy topic, but what does it feel like when you are having sex? What about when you urinate? Do you feel any pain? Many yeast infections include symptoms of pain during intercourse or having pain while you pee. Note: Even if you don’t have a yeast infection and you are dealing with pain during sex or urination, you should always talk to a doctor.

5. Vaginal Discharge

This is rather graphic, but if you are experiencing any type of discharge from your vagina, this is definitely a sign of a yeast infection. Like the above sign, if you are experiencing vaginal discharge even in general, always talk to a doctor just to be safe.

I hope this list has answered the question of the most common signs of a yeast infection. As always, if you feel you may have a yeast infection, you should speak to a doctor. Although I meant for this article to be informative, you should always get advice from a doctor and not just an article.
