The Latest Cellulite Treatment and Possible Cure: Cryotherapy – 3 Minutes and You\’re Done!

There may be a new and innovative cellulite treatment available now: cryotherapy. It\’s something that professional athletes initially started using a few years ago to improve muscle recovery after a workout or event, and in more recent times its healing properties have been utilized by celebrities to treat various skin problems and it has been shown to be especially effective in completely eliminating cellulite: and what\’s better is that a single treatment only takes about 3-5 minutes at a time and can last for weeks!

Cryotherapy is a special treatment designed to help damaged tissue recover many times faster than it would normally be able to by using ultra-cold temperatures to shock the body into upping circulation and making the immune system work overtime so that damaged tissue is repaired much faster than it would normally be. The temperatures involved are astounding, as low as -200 degrees Fahrenheit, which is lower than anything you would find in Antarctica where it\’s only about -130. It\’s safe because the air is completely dry with no humidity, you are only exposed to it for 3 minutes, and are monitored very carefully the whole time.

What the Doctor Says

Dr Michael Curtin, medical director at the exclusive Champneys spa in Hertfordshire in the U.K. where they\’ve seen bookings double this year, says:

\”As you enter the cryo-chamber the sudden drop in heat stimulates the temperature receptors, prompting the brain to transmit messages throughout the body. This withdraws blood from the body’s core to try to regulate the temperature. When you exit the chamber, blood is pumped vigorously around the body, which in turn enhances the oxygen supply and removal of toxins. The cold also triggers the nervous system to release feel-good endorphins, plus the body’s natural anti-inflammatory reaction to extreme cold results in a pain reduction.\”

What It\’s Like

You\’ll need to fill out a short medical questionnaire prior to going in and you should know that irregular blood pressure is the most common thing that disqualifies people.

Also, you\’ll be required to change into special clothing that won\’t immediately freeze once you get inside, including small cotton shorts and top, gloves, and some odd-looking leather clogs. You\’ll first start out for 30 seconds in a chamber that\’s only been chilled to -70 to help your body acclimatize to the extreme cold during which you\’ll be asked to walk around with your arms above your head to help keep circulation going, after which you go into the -200 degree chamber for 3 minutes. Then you\’re done! It\’s a very quick and painless treatment from which you should see almost immediate results (within a few hours).

To enhance the effects of increased circulation, you can do a light workout on a treadmill afterward if you so choose.

It should be noted that the effectiveness of something like this will, of course, be significantly enhanced with the simultaneous use of a proper diet. I personally have found the French Diet as prescribed by Dr. Will Clower to have the greatest effects and it\’s what a primarily recommend to people who are looking to lose weight in general or cellulite in particular.

Author Bio: There are several simple things known about diet and exercise, among other things, that you can adjust very easily on your own and which can sometimes make a significant difference in how bad your cellulite is, and if you haven\’t already tried them, you certainly should prior to considering expensive surgery.
