Angelina Jolie and Brat Pitt – two of the most notable names in Hollywood – also have one of the most controversial love stories on the silver screen. Both come from equally controversial relationships. Both first met on their first movie, Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Pitt was then married to actress Jennifer Aniston and Jolie, a single mom after divorcing husband, Billy Bob Thornton in 1999.

In an Interview for a magazine, Angelina confesses that they became really good friends on set. But undoubtedly, the attraction was already there – in spite of Brad still being wed to Jennifer Aniston. Although Brad Pitt never openly admitted of cheating with his wife while working on the movie, he has been quoted saying this is where he \”fell in love\” with Angelina and where many fans believe, everything started.

The following year, in 2005, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston announced their separation. Jennifer Aniston filed divorce papers which were finalized by the court in October of the same year. Rumors had it that Jennifer had sensed his husband\’s eye for Angelina and was calling their four-year marriage quits. The excessive reports by the media about the infidelity did not help either. Although both parties never confirmed such, many remain skeptical about the reason for the split-up. One month after the couple filed for divorce, paparazzi pictures were released showing Brad and Angelina lounging in a beach in Kenya, together with Jolie\’s adopted son, Maddox. Throughout the rest of the year, more and more pictures emerged showing Brad and Angelina\’s budding relationship.

In July of 2005, Brad Pitt accompanied Angeline Jolie to Ethiopia where the actress adopted a six-month old baby whom she named Zahara. According to the actress, the adoption was something both of them decided together. By the end of the year, Brad\’s camp announced of the actor\’s intention to adopt both of Angelina\’s kids. At the start of 2006, the court approved the couple\’s request for changing both of Angelina\’s adopted kids (Maddox and Zahara) from Jolie to Jolie-Pitt.

In January of 2006, Angelina Jolie formally announced that she was pregnant with Pitt\’s baby – which is also the very first time she confirmed the relationship. In May, Angelina gave birth to a beautiful daughter in Namibia, whom the couple named Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt. The first pictures of their baby girl were reportedly sold to magazine People for $4.1 million. The proceeds of the picture reported reached over $10 million and was donated to an unknown charity.

A year later, the couple adopted another baby from Vietnam, who they named Pax Thie Jolie-Pitt. After a year of processing the papers, the baby was finally brought into the States, in February of 2008. That same year, Angelina Jolie announced that she was expecting twins. Baby boy Knox Leon and baby girl Vivienne Marcheline were born in Nice, France on July 12, 2008. This time, the first baby pictures were sold at an even pricier tag of $14 million.

The couple is now moving all around the world together with the rest of the family. While it is Angelina that is taking more of the movie projects, Brad is also busy with his own set of charity works in different parts of the globe.
