Live traps are a type of catch and release trap used for all different types of rodents, including rats and mice. These methods consist of either a glue strip with a highly bonding adhesive which the rodent sticks to, or a cage which you use a nontoxic bait, and it traps the rodent until proper removal.
The bait stations are a great because they are available in so many shapes and sizes. Simply place the bait (poisonous or non poisonous) and let the trap inside either catch or kill the rodent, depending on the bait station you choose.
All in all there are several types of rodent pest control to choose from to rid your home of unwanted guests. Make sure that you identify the rodent that is a problem, which will help you to choose the proper method of control.
There are some other factors to consider such as do you have pets that would be able to get into the bait stations that are around your home or yard.
