Eating healthy meals is the key to living a good lifestyle- the vitality and glow of youth is preserved for far longer, the bones and the immune system are strengthened, and resistance is well-prepared for older age.

Berries such as strawberries, blackberries and blueberries contain a potent amount antioxidants and make for really good substitutes for snack time instead of processed sweets and pastries.
For lunch, instead of resorting to fast foods, you can pack for yourself a power lunch through whole-wheat pasta in homemade tomato sauce. Tomatoes are rich in lycopene which is good for the skin and also helpful in protecting the heart against diseases. You can also pack a healthy sandwich for yourself using whole-grain bread, homemade peanut butter, or tuna. You can then add lettuce, cucumber slices and some vegetable oil or homemade seasoning. If you take this with a fresh fruit smoothie or cold juice then you\’ve got yourself a tasty lunch packed with all the vitamins and minerals that will keep you well-stocked through the day.
For dinner, a vegetable salad with homemade dressing will make for a scrumptious supper. You can even add slices of fresh fruit to it as well and some slices of chicken. It is better if your chicken is boiled and stripped of skin. Some even include nuts in their recipes. You can top off your meal with some low-fat milk to then prepare your system for sleep as milk induces your hormones to relax which then gets you feeling sleepy.
Healthy eating should be made interesting and not bland and tasteless- there are a lot of recipes that actually prove this belief wrong. Healthy eating is actually enjoyable, you can enjoy the pleasure of eating something delicious without the guilt and the recipes are packed with more benefits at that.
