3. Ask elders and family members, whom your parents respect much, to interfere, to urge them not to separate and to give advice on the detrimental effects of their move on their children’s lives. Avoid asking relatives or family members who have unsuccessful family life.

4. Have a heart-to-heart talk with your parents. Let them know about the negative effects of their actions. Tell them that their children are against their plan to get a divorce.

5. Invite them to have counseling with a priest, a marriage counselor or community elder.

6. Remind them of their vow in front of God and the people. Remind them of the happy memories they shared together. Remind them that they vowed to stay together in sickness and in health and in good times and bad times. Ensure them that they can overcome their problems and that you are always on their side to support them.

7. Give them valuable resources like books and electronic resources about the negative impact of divorce to children, overcoming difficulties in marriage and marriage counseling. Even though these are just little things, it can help a lot to mend their broken relationship.
