As an avid gardener with wonderful summer tomatoes, or a fragrant herb garden growing in your kitchen window, a garden bug spray is always a necessity. Sometimes all you have are a few Japanese Beetles searching for something delicious to eat, and they believe the goodies are the ones that you planted, of course. Other times, you walk out to your garden and it seems, overnight, you have an infestation of aphids. A good garden bug spray is something you are going to need in your arsenal of defense against these pests.

Japanese Beetles, in their native habitat, Japan, are not destructive because they are controlled by natural enemies. Here in the U.S. they are extremely destructive. If you have already encountered these guys in your rose bushes or on your grape vines, you know this to be true. They destroy the plant by eating the plant material between the veins of the plant. If you happen upon these in your garden, there are steps you can take to get rid of them.

Depending on what they are feasting on and if their population is only a few, try using some soapy water on the infected plant. Also, remove any dead beetles and try placing some catnip around the plant. This may help in getting rid of them until you can purchase some garden bug spray. If you are looking for an earth friendly insecticide to remove them, try spraying some Dominion on your plants.

Aphids are terrible little bugs, and they seem to be everywhere and eat everything. They are considered to be some of the most destructive insects around. I would list the plants that they most affect, but they are not picky eaters. They also bring along destructive company, ants. You can try spraying down whatever plant they are on with high pressured water, but this may damage some ornamentals. You can also go to your local nursery and buy a cup of ladybugs.

Ladybugs are aphids natural enemy. Place the ladybugs directly on the plant that is infested in the early morning and let them go to work. This is, of course, letting nature take its course, but sometimes we need something that works faster, like a garden bug spray. Using Eco Exempt Ic2 on your plants will do just that. It is a concentrated spray that works quickly to get rid of these bugs. A plus to using this is that it will also get rid of the ant control problem the aphids were contributing to.

Finding the right garden bug spray doesn\’t have to be hard. Even though there may seem to be a slew of garden bugs, most garden sprays will cover a broad band of bugs. Your toughest choice may just be to choose a synthetic spray or an organic or natural spray. Both are highly effective against garden bugs.

If your bug issue is in your fruit or vegetable garden, make sure that whichever type you choose, whether synthetic or natural, can be used on something edible. This may be something you are less concerned with if it is your shrubbery you are trying to protect. Just make sure you read and follow the directions properly, to insure success.
