Living in a traditional home allows for more space and freedom to do as the owner wishes. Pets are allowed if one choose to own a pet. The pool in a single family home is private. Installing ceiling fans or hanging pictures on the wall is no problem. The owner of the home makes the decisions without conferring with an association board.

The association board can be made up of elected persons or people from the community. They make all the decisions for the community in reference to any repairs that may be necessary or any changes that are requested in any unit.

Living in a house vs condo living is left entirely up to individual wants and needs. For those who are too busy to keep a lawn or do repairs on the exterior of the structure, a condo may be the way to go. Living in a shared community often has its drawbacks as far as parking and privacy, it is similar to apartment complexes, with shared walls. Parking situation, first come, first served.
