When you design buildings for your career, you have to be very skilled and know what you are doing. First of all, you have to make that building safe for the people who will be living there or working there. Secondly, it is important that your design fits the needs of all your clients. You may get special jobs for people who are disabled or you might get a job where someone asks you to design a building that has never been built before. Every building is different and each architect has their own way of doing things, but church architects for example have to make the buildings appealing to the people who attend them and they have to include rooms with pews and possibly rooms for youth groups. Depending on what type of church you are building, it will have different rooms and features. Assisted living design is another thing that you may have to do as an architect. You will be responsible for planning homes for elderly people who need help and cannot live on their own.

As for churches, when you go downtown wherever you live, you will most likely see churches with steeples and bells and stained glass windows. There are many famous churches that have these features. Some have paintings on the ceilings and most of them are gorgeous buildings. Some other churches, however, are more laid back.

Some churches are more modern and not as traditional and need features such as rooms for youth groups to meet, which is something that only modern churches tend to have. As an architect, you will have to design these buildings the way your clients want them built. To build a church that is more traditional and something that people will look at for years and remember is an honor, but it is also very hard work and not many of those are built these days.

As for homes for the aging, they will need to have a lot of features to keep the elderly people comfortable. Sometimes older people like to live on their own and be independent but there is a time when they become too old to do everything on their own. Others have illnesses that do not allow them to live on their own and unfortunately, most of these people do not have families that can take care of them. As an architect, it is important that you make these places as comfortable as you can for them. They do not want to feel like they are in a hospital, so make the rooms feel like home to these people. They may be older, but they should still have some independence so keep that in mind when designing these buildings.

Every building whether it is an office building, a church, or a home is different. Every client wants something unique and being an architect is not an easy job. It takes a lot of concentration to make sure that everything fits in as safely as possible. Most importantly, you want to please the clients and still make the places safe.
