Make sure that the storage area does not contain food, or a water supply as contamination could take place. Thoroughly wash out and dispose of an empty container. Never should you attempt to reuse a container that has been used for any type of chemical or pesticide.

If the container is partially filled, call a local solid waste agency to find out how to properly dispose unused insects spray. Never dispose of it in a garbage can, as the chemicals pose harm and risks to humans, as well as contamination of environmental conservations. However, most sprays have a long shelf life and can last for years as long as they are properly stored.
