The Outside the Box Pool Wonders

A pool is a lot of fun so a lot of people dream to be a pool owner. But really, nobody is ever ready for pool responsibilities until you are there. There, meaning your pool is fully constructed and then you think to yourself, \”Man, how am I going to maintain this thing?\”

There are a lot of things to be done when you have a pool. And an aspiring pool owner, one must be 100% fit before taking that plunge. Many websites, articles on line, booklets and pamphlets come out and claim that they have the answers for keeping a pool in it\’s best possible shape. Unfortunately, not all publications are easy to translate and to follow. What these guide books are missing is empathy. A beginner at being a pool owner is very much shaky. To be able to usher them, at times you would have to spoon feed some information. It\’s just the way it is. It seems that these catalogs are written just so they are written. Why don\’t we just throw them off the window shall we? They are just an unlively and uninviting collection of picture-less pages. How in Heaven\’s name is a tyro going to interpret what goes where with these kinds of things? Tsk, tsk, tsk. Truly, those 3 tsks are very well deserved. If only there was an empathetic step-by-step guide to help beginner pool owners.

Well, until there are such enchiridions, you must, as a novice to think outside the box. There are ways that you can do for you to familiarize yourself with your pool. Such ways are:

TALK TO YOUR POOL MANUFACTURER OR DEALER

Talking with your manufacturer or dealer will help you understand your pool better. The key is to NOT BE ASHAMED to ask questions. Ask everything that you need to know about every square inch of your pool. Ask about your filter, your pool chemicals and your pool\’s maintenance. Remember, there are different pool types, all of which have different ways to maintain it. Again, ASK EVERYTHING. Then, actually take notes. Write down everything that you are told. Your writing pad or notebook will be your very own guide book.

TIP: Divide your notebook into sections. Such sections are:

– Pool parts and functions
– Complete and step by step pool maintenance
– My filter (parts, functions, maintenance, cleaning and winterizing steps)
– Compatible pool chemicals and due application

VIDEOS GALORE

There are a lot of do it yourself videos on the web. WATCH THEM. They offer step-by-step instruction on how to deal with your pool. Just open up your browser, go to Google and type away. Type in \”pool maintenance\” on the search box and many results are bound to appear. Actually, a lot of pool companies have delved into the video making process. Join the fun and surf the net. You will find what you need. Besides, it\’s much easier to see the instructions actually being done by someone else than read them right? This way, you will identify the steps and the parts that you have to deal with much faster. Thank GOD for the internet.

Do not stick to those boring pamphlets. Sometimes thinking outside the box supplies the correct and better answer.
