Alternative to Medicine?

My head aches, my leg aches, and my neck aches. Am I just getting old? Maybe. I do know that I don’t like taking medications – prescription or over the counter – unless I have a serious health issue.

It’s just not something I’m comfortable with doing. But I also don’t want to put up with the minor aches and pains that come my way. It’s silly because so much of it is due to my job.

I’m a writer and I sit in front of the computer screen all darn daylong. It’s a good gig except that I am not moving any muscles except the ones connected to my fingers, hands, and wrists.

Not so good for the waistline. As a result of sitting in front of the keyboard for hours on end, I frequently get aches in my head and my neck. My legs sometimes ache from sitting so long, as well. What’s a guy to do?

Well, if I’m going to avoid aspirin -and I am – then I need to look for an all-natural remedy.

Now, I’m not saying that aspirin won’t help, because it will. But I don’t want to take two aspirin four times a day every day for the rest of my life. This is not good for my stomach or the rest of my body, frankly. What I want is something that relieves aches, pains, swelling and inflammation naturally.

Well, from what I’ve heard, Nopalea Juice has a good chance of helping with some of my symptoms. In addition, it has the added side benefit of being something that can help prevent future illnesses and diseases.

This sunset colored juice is made from the prickly pear cactus. The cactus, which is a native of the Sonoran desert, has been used for centuries as both a food and medicine.

It is a natural anti-oxidant and natural anti-inflammatory. It is believed that its use dates back to the time of the Aztecs. The plant contains special pigments called betalains, which are natural cancer fighters. So eating and drinking the plant helps to not only boost the immune system, but also to detoxify the body and cleanse at the cellular level.

But back to my aches and pains and why I think Nopalea Juice might stand a fighting chance of curing them.

About a decade ago, Time magazine published a cover story saying that researchers and scientists were looking at a possible connection between chronic inflammation and a lot of other diseases.

The theory is that the body’s natural immunological response to invaders – inflammation – can sometimes go haywire. When that happens the body is essentially attacking itself.

So the reason scientists got so excited about this is that this might possibly mean if we find the means to stop inflammation, that could be the key to stopping a whole lot of serious diseases and ailments. That simple. Pretty exciting to me, too.

But meanwhile, the juice of the prickly pear cactus, which is known to reduce inflammation, is a good bet for me. It is all-natural and tastes good.

He has even traveled to the Sonoran desert half a dozen times to study how Nopalea contains amazing properties that help with all kinds of joint pain, including thumb joint pain. He is excited to share how this antioxidant-rich drink can change your life.
