An Impartial Review of Lightyear Wireless MLM

Lightyear Wireless is a telecomm service based MLM company with it’s headquarters based in Louisville, Kentucky.

Surprisingly to me and maybe to you it’s been around since 1993 when it started as “Unidial” on a napkin at a Denny’s restaurant. They have a business relationship with several companies including but not limited to Sprint, AT&T and Verizon. Basically Lightyear Wireless is a reseller company.

They offer pretty much the same services as any telecomm company would including Voice, Data and Internet, Integrated Solutions, and of course Wireless to both residential and business customers.

Obviously when you’re looking for a company to get involved with you want to know that the company is stable and will be around for years to come. As I said before I was surprised they go back as far as they do which is always a good sign. They are also a publicly traded company.

Lightyear Wireless representatives have the opportunity to sell both cell phones and cell phone service. Reps receive “up to” 10% of the wireless phone bill of everyone they refer to the company.

Once enrolled reps receive an online wireless store (for retail), a site for recruiting purposes and access to the main site which is used for representative login, additional products and the company back office.

The marketing materials issued, based on level of enrollment, include flyers, brochures, pre-made banner ads autoresponders and tracking software.

The basic enrollment fee is $49.99 for the sales kit which includes your first month of the web marketing suite and qualifies you for commissions. You can enroll in the “Gold” package for $299.00 and you get the marketing suite. It also qualifies you for all commission opportunities and marketing materials. At this level you start at the rank of “Senior Manager”. Oh and there’s an additional $25.00 web activation fee.

Here’s a breakdown of how you can move through the ranks of Lightyear Wireless:

1. Senior Manager (SM): There are two options to promote to SM: 1) Enroll in their Optional Senior Manager Elite Business Builder Package for $299 or 2) Join as a Manager, activate 2 personal customer points, enroll 2 new personally sponsored reps and develop a total team of 6 reps on any level. You are now promoted to SM!

2. Regional Manager (RM): Once you’ve promoted to Senior Manager you will begin to enroll NEW representatives into your SM “code.” Your goal is to develop 2 more personally sponsored Representatives in YOUR SM code and have a total team of 6 representatives anywhere in your SM code. You also need a total of 5 active personal customer points. You are now promoted to RM!

3. Vice President (VP): Once you’ve promoted to Regional Manager you will begin to enroll NEW representatives into your RM “code.” Develop 8 personally sponsored Reps in your Regional Manager code and have a total team of 75 representatives anywhere (the total of 75 can come from your Manager, SM, and RM codes). You also need a total of 10 active personal customer points. You are now promoted to VP!

4. Senior Vice President (SVP): Once you’ve promoted to Vice President your goal is to develop 3 Vice Presidents in YOUR entire organization and have a total team of 300 representatives anywhere (the total of 300 can come from your Manager, SM, RM, and VP codes). No more than 50% of the 300 can come from one leg. For example, if one leg had 250 reps in it and the other leg had 50 reps, only 150 of the 250 leg would count towards your total of 300. You also need to maintain your total of 10 active personal customer points. You are now promoted to SVP!

5. Presidential Director (PD): Once you’ve promoted to Senior Vice your goal is to develop 2 Senior Vice Presidents in your entire organization, develop $100,000 in total downline revenue, and earn $4,000 a month in bonus income for 2 consecutive months. You also need to have a total of 1,000 representatives in your team with no more than 50% coming from one leg.

There are plenty of good network marketing companies around including, it seems, Lightyear Wireless. As with any of them your success depends on the effort you put forth.
