There are so many excellent benefits to watching television on the internet. However, one of the biggest advantages we have when we watch TV online is that we do not have to put up with as many commercials as we do when we are watching shows on a regular television set. While there might be less ads to watch online, we are able to fast forward through the commercials to avoid watching them on the television, and we do not have that luxury with internet viewing. However, the convenience of internet TV makes the commercials bearable.

To watch TV shows online with less commercials is so appealing to viewers. Keeping the ads at a minimum helped network websites increase their audience by attracting college students in dorms. Teenagers are also attracted to TV shows online since they can sit back and view what interests them from the quiet of their bedrooms. They are able to watch the shows that they like without interrupting other family members.

With better technology came high speed connection and improvements with internet video. Due to these advances many folks have moved away from watching regular television and having to pay the high cost of cable.

There are some cable and network channels that will allow access to view recent program episodes on the internet. With this convenience, there is no longer any reason for folks to miss any programs. In addition, cable channels offer sports programs and make it possible to watch movies online.

Unfortunately there is no way to get around watching the advertisements when viewing shows on your computer. There is no way to fast forward past the commercials back to the program. For those who like the convenience of seeing their programs whenever and wherever they want, the ads are not a bother. In fact, they provide an opportunity to go to the kitchen to get something to snack on.

Even if the viewing audience were to make the switch from regular television to watching TV on the internet completely, the networks are making enough money from the ads that are on the internet to pay for the shows. Although television ads do make far more money than the internet ads, the networks will survive if television becomes out of date.

Additionally, the popularity of the internet video is increasing rather quickly. With the many impressive advances in technology, the quality of the internet videos has improved so tremendously which in turn is drawing even more attention. With the benefits of seeing our favorite programs using the internet, cable services and television might soon become a thing of the past.

Added to the number of other reasons folks are opting to watch TV online, having to see less commercials and view more of the programming is like the icing on a cake. Although it is a fact that it is not at all possible to skip the commercials by fast forwarding through them, they are tolerable when we consider the fact that shows can be seen at the viewers convenience.
