– Plasma cutter. This uses a superheated gas for metal cutting. This also allows precise cutting due to how the gas flow can be focused on a fine point in the metal area. Plasma cutter is best used for final cutting. However, this cutting tool is very expensive.

Metal Joining Equipment

Joining metal pieces is also important in helping achieve your desired shape in an object. It uses the following tools:

– TIG welding equipment. This joins two pieces of metals into one and is best used on stainless steel and aluminium. In some cases, a filler rod is melted to join metals with an open seam.

– MIG welding equipment. This melts wire that is used to join two metal pieces together. This is usually used on mild steel.

Metal Forming Equipment

Forming is the process in metal work that uses heat to melt metal, which will then be poured into a mould until it hardens and form another shape. It makes use of tools like the following:

– Furnace or forge. This is the area where metal pieces are heated. It is available in several types based on its source of power. Furnaces can be powered by gas, electricity or natural fuels such as coal and wood. They can be expensive too based on their size.

– Mould. This is where the molten metal is poured into. The wax mould is the tools used to make the final mould of the metal and it is usually created out of fine silica sand. This particular process of moulding can be expensive due to the recurring raw materials used in it.

Preparation and Finishing Tools

These consist of tools for grinding and chipping, which are important in removing excess materials from finished metalpieces. Buffers are also used to polish and make surface textures in metal pieces. Painting equipment are also used.
