Fuel Doctor FD-47: Extend Your Cars Gas Mileage

In these current economic times everyone is looking for a way to save a little cash and with gas prices on the rise any product that can increase our vehicle’s fuel economy is welcomed. One new product that offers such benefits is the FD-47, a new Fuel Saving Device from Fuel Doctor USA. The claims for the FD-47 sound intriguing, with their website asserting that their product increases your vehicles fuel economy while reducing emissions and increasing power. As with any new product with such claims, The FD-47 has been hotly debated around the interwebs, with some praising the device and others denying its effectiveness. With so many conflicting reviews out there, I decided to research the product for myself to determine if the claims were valid.

According to the Fuel Doctor USA website, the FD-47 Fuel Saving Device increases your vehicle’s miles per gallon (MPG) through power conditioning of the vehicle’s electrical systems. This conditioning reduces the amount of electrical interference that builds up in your vehicle’s power systems over time. This allows your vehicle’s electronic control unit (ECU), fuel injection and engine timing equipment to operate more efficiently. A clean and efficient engine will require less fuel, produce more power and have reduced exhaust emissions over a vehicle whose electrical systems haven’t been conditioned.

On the Fuel Doctor USA website they offer links to numerous independent testing facilities that have tested and reviewed the FD-47 Fuel Saving Device. One testing facility in particular, Intertek, is a widely known and well-regarded testing facility for automotive parts. This testing facility was requested by one of Fuel Doctor USA’s retail distribution partners and has determined that the FD-47 Fuel Saving Device does in fact provide a moderate boost in fuel economy, improving fuel economy by as much as 25%. The numbers don’t lie, and these positive results encouraged me to buy an FD-47 for myself and do some independent testing on my 2002 Ford Explorer.

I began recording my daily mileage and gas usage for a month before purchasing the FD-47 Fuel Saving Device and determined my average fuel economy to be 18.5 MPG. As with many others I was skeptical at first, to say the least, but to my surprise I began to see a noticeable increase in fuel economy after the first week. This increase in fuel economy actually increased over the next few weeks and after a month of using the device my average fuel economy is up to 22 MPG. That’s an increase of 16%. I was very pleased with my results and recommend this product to anyone looking to increase their fuel economy. Do take note that my slightly older vehicle was a perfect candidate for this product. This is because as a vehicle matures, the power systems tend to generate and experience more electrical noise, which can have detrimental effects on the vehicle’s power systems and decrease their efficiency. The FD-47 Fuel Saving Device conditions and cleans these electrical systems, and the improved efficiency from this conditioning improves your fuel economy.

I suspect that the majority of the negative reviews out there are either written by people that have never tried the product or were tested on a newer vehicle whose electrical systems are still running efficiently. My advice would be to try this product out for yourself. If you aren’t happy with your results, Fuel Doctor USA offers a full refund within 30 days of purchase. They also have an ‘A’ rating with the Better Business Bureau, and top notch customer service that I can attest to.
