Mens underwear may at first seem like a simple thing. This is because men do not generally talk about this subject in the open. The argument about male undies has been around, it seems, for ages. They offer a wide variety of cuts, materials, and styling. Popular for their looser fit, boxers are, however, often considered \”old man\” underwear, but in recent years have been the main choice for teens and young adults.

Boxer briefs have in recent years been the only style to ever be a threat to the market dominance of tighty-whities and other brief styles. They have also seen a near perfect tie in popularity with boxers. This is due to their hybrid nature. Roomier and offering more give than briefs, but at the same time having a layered fly and offering more support than boxers.

Jockstraps were once relegated to the back hook of the gym locker and only worn for athletic reasons but that has all changed in recent years. Previously, the only men who regularly wore jockstraps as their daily underwear were construction workers and firefighters. Today more men are wearing what are referred to as fashion jocks every day. These are made of materials other than those traditionally used for jocks, and they are available in a wide array of colors and styles. Men who wear them say that having one on all the time keeps them in touch with their masculinity and gives them a better sense of confidence.

So as you can see mens underwear is available in a wide variety of styles. The choice of what is best in the end is truly up to what a guy feels good wearing. Many men have both tighty-whities and boxers in their dressers and choose day by day.
