What they then do is to take it back to the nest, and the queen, and eventually they will all die off. The tubes are monitored by computer so it is easy to see from which side the attack is coming and these tubes are then refilled often to make sure that the pests stay away for good.

Of course, these tubes can be left in situ and should last for many years to come.
