Whenever we go into a shop for just about anything, we will have to look at what the cost is first. Indeed, without this facility, we would be constantly looking for employees to tell us what the cost of everything is. Bar codes came in a couple of decades ago and they really make life faster at the check- out. Jewelry looks better when it is displayed so the backings to jewelry will have to be molded so that necklaces and earrings, for example, can be displayed for the whole world to see. In shop windows, and with the right lighting of course, this really attracts people to come into the shop to buy something.

Even carrier bags, which are usually given away free with every purchase have to be supplied by someone. Large corporations will order these by the million, but for small shops this would be totally unrealistic. For these outlets, there are suppliers who are usually on the outskirts of town which can supply everything in much smaller quantities.

The beauty of this too is that very often, the shop can send someone along to pick up a case or two of whatever they need and avoid the cost of shipping and handling. This is wonderful for those on a small margin and will keep costs to an absolute minimum.

It is sad to say though that this kind of supplier is becoming something of a dying breed. Therefore, if anyone needs accessories for shops in small quantities, seek one of these guys out and keep the place open for business!
