Make sure that you wrap the body up in a plastic bag firmly and if possible bury it or make sure no other animals can get to it.

Sometimes however the mouse problems we have may be too big for us to handle, especially when they have established a nest. The best option in this case therefore may be to call an experienced exterminator. Try to find a reputable exterminator that can do a clean and fast job.
