Easy to Do Mouse Removal Tips and Strategies
Mice may be cute as exemplified by Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, but they are not so cute when it comes to them invading your home or office in real life. Should you be experiencing mouse problems in the home then perhaps you may need some good mouse removal techniques. Here is an article that will help you get rid of these small rodents without you resorting to calling an expensive exterminator.
To get rid of a growing rodent population in your office or house there are a few simple things you can do. Follow these simple steps and you can significantly control their presence as well as the presence of other pests as well. You have about five options you can choose from in going up against an inherent mouse problem. You can choose either one or all of the options together.
The first option is to get rid of clutter in the room or area in question. As mice love to nest in cluttered areas, it is just logical that to get rid of them would mean to get rid of clutter. An area in your home or office building that has been unused for sometime and used mostly as a storage area will be more prone to mouse invasions. Try to look for time to get rid of garbage and junk in storage areas.
A good option to choose also is to avoid eating in restricted areas. Restricted areas here mean areas other than the dining room or kitchen areas. Most people have gotten used to eating anywhere they like, be it the bedroom, living room or even the bathroom! This sort of eating habit causes crumbs and food particles to be dropped clandestinely anywhere thus attracting rodents and pests.
Always get rid of garbage, especially organic and food garbage in the soonest possible time. That is do not let it stand for more than a few hours. Most people allow their trash to sit in containers for days on end. This gives an opportunity for it to attract unwanted guests.
Some of us want to choose the option of killing the mice or rodent intruders ourselves. If you want to choose this option, do so without using poison or tracking powder. This is because once ingested, the poison will kill the rat and they will die not in the area where you saw them, but in other areas like inner walls and hidden areas. The decomposing body of a dead rodent that cannot be found is something very unpleasant indeed.
Instead use electric traps or even snap traps that are also effective in killing rodents. This option gives you the opportunity to dispose of the bodies prior to decomposition, thus avoiding the inevitable stench. Make sure that you wrap the body up in a plastic bag firmly and if possible bury it or make sure no other animals can get to it.
Sometimes however the mouse problems we have may be too big for us to handle, especially when they have established a nest. The best option in this case therefore may be to call an experienced exterminator. Try to find a reputable exterminator that can do a clean and fast job.
