SUICIDE IS PAINLESS; IT BRINGS ON MANY CHANGES*

Muslims are killing Americans because Allah says it’s ok. What is there about this that you’re not understanding?

Islam is held to be a decent, kindly faith, contemplative and lovely to behold. Common wisdom suggests that this gentle religion is hag-ridden and perverted by a vanishingly small minority, mocked and made ugly by self-styled “warriors” whose only real passion is for the money, the power, and the influence they hope their association with this well of decency and truth will bring to them.

It is argued that no decent practitioner of Islam, no True Believer, would permit for an instant the murder and maiming of his own fellow Believers for any reason whatever. The Qur’an makes it quite clear: Those who kill Believers put themselves beyond God’s Reach.

This includes the demented murderer who explodes himself in a mosque or a marketplace and the jihadist who slaughters Believers of his own Faith. Allah is indeed Merciful, but He will assign to Eternal Damnation any premeditative murderer of the Faithful for gain.
Any.

Hmmm…ok.

But there are two levels of jihad, which in Arabic means ‘struggle.’ We see the craven suicide belts and murderous attacks every day, but hidden beneath this is a second level, the camel’s nose under the tent.

Unlike the Handwringers of Europe, whose rush to pander to a few religious malcontents gives new depth to “craven” and additional dimensions to “stupid,” America pays scant heed to religious zealots who collect insults to boost their own fortunes, who embrace the drama of false shame in place of actually contributing to the society they choose to live in. Over here in The Great Satan we laugh at earnest entreaties that Sharia Law is actually good for you.

But we’re decent folks and we don’t like to give offense to anyone. So when someone declares they’re aggrieved, we listen carefully. C.A.-I.R., the Council on American-Islamic Relations, takes offense at the drop of a taqiyah. Their latest grudge is Oklahoma’s state constitutional amendment to prevent judicial notice of Sharia law. C.A.-I.R is offended. Why? If the Council’s members are Americans, then the provisions of Sharia can hold only an academic or perhaps historic interest for them. America lives under civil law, whose dictates always trump any religious canon. So what’s the beef?

In truth, C.A.-I.R. sends a mixed message. It seems to teeter on its hyphen. “American-Islamic Relations” implies that these folks don’t consider themselves entirely American. They’re concerned with American relations with Islamics? Aren’t these “Islamics” actually Americans themselves? So maybe it should be called C.A.-A.R.? Or what might be easier, let’s just take them at their own word and think of them as essentially Americans acting as foreigners.

But it’s worse than that. There are principles in play that are far more serious than worrying about a few bizarre 7th Century instructions from tribal elders on the proper way to allocate booty from raiding caravans or the protocols to follow when stoning a woman to death for harlotry.

Suppose a group of Catholics start murdering and destroying and then tell everyone, “The Pope told us to do it!” Or somebody shoot up an army base, kills a bunch of soldiers, then declares he did it because the Catholic religion said it was ok? Every Catholic in America, every priest, probably most of the Holy See would be up on a table or a bench or in the streets with clenched fists shouting against that terrible perversion of their Faith?

Yet jihadists sanctify their atrocities by saying Islam tells them to do it. And C.A.-I.R. turns a blind eye and bland rhetoric toward a simple fact:

Muslims are killing Americans because Islam says it’s ok.

Muhammad says it’s ok.

Allah says it’s ok.

Well, my friends, I’m a Christian and I say it’s NOT ok. Either Islam condones murder and violence, or it does not. It either promotes ‘slaying the Infidel,’ or it does not. No other choices remain because to permit murder sometimes under some circumstances is merely to give everyone a blank check. American law doesn’t permit that. So get over it.

So, my fellow Americans who are also Muslims, I ask each of you:
Where are your voices, my Muslim countrymen, shouting down this horror of killing in the Name of God?

Where is your public outrage against these murderers of innocents?

Where is your public sorrow that your religion could be befouled to such un-Godly use?

When I see that outrage – when I see that sorrow, I will take you seriously as Muslims, and as Americans. Until then, your silence convicts you. You are merely fellow travelers in jihad, supporters of murder and crime, and I trust you not.

To the American Muslim who feels insulted by my words, from my heart I really don’t care. You are the one remaining in the shadows on this issue, not I. You condemn yourself by your silence. I draw my line in the sand against the willful murder of innocents. Where do you stand? I suggest you look into your own heart to discover whether or not people are using your Faith to kill your fellow countrymen. If you find it to be so, cast them forth from your tent. They pollute your Faith.

If you don’t stand up strong against them, they pollute you as well.

And to my fellow Christians I ask a simple question: did Jesus Christ establish His church here on Earth in order to gather His people together into one place to make better targets? If not, then isn\’t it time to start wondering who might have you in their crosshairs?
