Do You Prefer Conventional or Bizarre Wedding Venues?

We all have a different idea of the sorts of wedding venues which go best with our tastes, and fortunately there are lots of options out there for us to choose from. Some of these are classic locations and others are frankly a little weird, so let’s take a look at some of them and see if you can work out which ones most appeal to you.

Caribbean Beaches

This seems at first like a dream wedding but there are a few issues to think about before you buy the suntan cream and beach sandals. The biggest concern for most people is the fact that their friends and family probably won’t be there to see them tie the knot. Unless you are willing to pay for people to go over there with you then you are likely to be getting married without guests. In fact, many people assume that a couple looking to get married on a foreign beach want to get away from it all anyway. Apart from that the paperwork and the heat can be worries too, although at least you won’t have too far to go for the honeymoon afterwards.

Football Stadiums

If one of the happy couple is a huge football fan then the other might, just might, agree to this. Of course, if you are both big fans then these could be ideal wedding venues. It is also a way of avoiding the age old problem of a staunch football fan finding out too late that their wedding day is going to clash with an important game. With you getting married there you can be sure that you won’t miss any of the action.

Castles and Country Houses

This is a conventional choice and for a good reason they continue to be regarded as among the most popular and sought after wedding venues. The elegance of a castle or country house is hard to beat and with all of your guests kitted out in their best gear the photos will be absolutely stunning. These big, rambling places are also great for kids, as there are loads of areas they can go and explore instead of sitting about bored.

Underwater

Places like Bali and Mexico are becoming popular for couples who are keen divers and who want to tie the knot under the water. A few years ago this idea would have sounded completely bizarre but nowadays it is not so strange after all. The biggest problem could be persuading your guests and witnesses to get their flippers on. Can you imagine your old aunts and uncles joining you down there?

A Burger Joint or with Elvis

We all love those strange stories about people getting married in the Elvis Chapel in Las Vegas or in a McDonalds. These stories are hugely entertaining but do you really see yourself getting married in of these bizarre wedding venues? You need to be careful with the fast food joints as well, as you could end up slipping an onion ring on your beloved’s finger instead of the wedding band.
