Enjoy Aromatherapy In Your Skin Care Program

If you want a healthy skin care and at the same time enjoy aromatherapy, then these four ingredients will promote your skin\’s healthy appearance and your overall well-being. They can be mixed in different recipes like face masks and lotions. I include a few recipes for homemade face scrubs.

Sweet Orange Oil

Let\’s start with this very interesting oil that originates in India. The essential oil is refreshing, fruity, and tangy. It\’s as if you\’ve just peeled a fresh juicy orange. It\’s very refreshing, lifts your spirits and at the same time calms you. The oil has a light and airy aroma and is cheering, refreshing and uplifting, but at the same time contributing to your tranquility. Quite fascinating!

But the oils found in the orange peel also contain a nutrient called limonene which does some remarkable things for you.

Sweet orange oil is considered an excellent skin tonic and supports rejuvenation, so it has an important role to play in your skin care program. You can blend it with many other ingredients to make masks or lotions. You\’ll smell wonderfully fresh!

Face scrub

Instructions:

Mix 1 cup of salt with glycerin water. Add the rest of the salt until you have a smooth paste. Carefully melt coconut oil and mix the salt, keep stirring. Then add sweet orange oil. Put scrub in a sealed jar it in the fridge to thicken. Gently apply to your skin, massage and scrub to exfoliate. Rinse off with warm and end with a splash of cold. Dry with a clean towel.

Calendula

Calendula is a herb with fiery red and yellow petals, similar to a marigold, although a different variety from the marigolds you commonly see in gardens. It has many uses.

Calendula was used by the ancient Egyptians. Yet even today it remains one of the most popular herbs for supporting healthy skin. When mixed with other oils such as olive oil, calendula becomes even more nourishing.

How does it work? It\’s used to moisturize and soften all skin types, rejuvenate your skin and reduce signs of aging.

Relaxation is an additional benefit of calendula. You can enjoy the spicy-sweet bitter-warm aroma of organic calendula if you include it in your skin care program.

Chamomile

Chamomile is considered by many to be the world\’s most soothing herb. It\’s sweet, herbal and fruity scent promotes relaxation. You\’ve probably enjoy a cup of calming chamomile tea.

But this common herb also soothes your skin very well. And it\’s generally regarded as safe. Chamomile can be included in your regular skin care program. You could use it in recipes for cleansers and toners. But feel free to experiment as these ingredients blend well with others.

Lavender

Lavender is one of the most popular and widely used essential oils, enjoyed by both aromatherapists and skin care fans. Even though it has many uses, not all people enjoy the fairly strong smell.

But it\’s smooth and sometimes sweet floral aroma has a definitive calming effect, helping you forget about everyday stresses in your life. But also used and treasured for its skin care benefits. Try mixing lavender with acai to make as a very potent night moisturizer or lotion.
