We all know that the economy today is nothing like it was twenty years ago, or even ten years ago. It used to be that people who looked for a little bit of extra income could supplement by playing the stocks. In fact, when I was going to school one lady I talked to told me that she and her husband never worked, that all they did for income was to invest in the right stocks.

It would be nice to return to the days of yesteryear, but that is not reality. The day to day grind at the office is pretty much the word these days to support yourself and your family. Children are costly, food is costly, housing is costly and none of it is going down in price.

Wouldn’t it be lovely though to not have to answer to another human being? You and your coworkers stand around the coffee pot shooting the breeze about how cool it would be to work for yourself or win the lottery and thereby be able to flee the coop. Fat chance you will win the lottery, but working for yourself is another thing entirely. Online business is booming now and shows no signs of slowing down.

People around the world are kissing the corporate life goodbye and setting up their online business. Those who have not yet taken the plunge are seriously considering it having grown weary of their cubicle, toiling it in for hours away from their kids, and are just about ready to take advantage of internet business ownership. We all know that doing business online is quick, easy and convenient; the very reason why millions of consumers no longer leave their computers to shop, search or execute financial transactions of all types.

Creating your own online business sounds complicated, but with the tons of business software available and online tutoring, any motivated person can do it. Once the basics are learned, the potential for earning a substantial income is there. Think of the hordes of potential customers that are surfing the internet right now. All you need is a business that provides those hordes something they want or need and provide it better than anyone else.

Being your own boss sounds like a wonderful thing to many of us. It conjures up feelings of freedom to set our own hours so we have the flexibility to attend our kid’s saxophone recitals or join an impromptu game of rugby with the guys. We have the luxury of working at our convenience and schedule our work around our lives instead of the other way around.

It would be nice to never have to work again, but without that rich uncle, lavish inheritance or state lottery win we have no choice in the matter.

The vast majority of us must work for a living, let’s do it and be our own boss at the same time. Get the appropriate help and software and free yourself from the sterile cubicles of corporate America. For sure, life isn’t what it was twenty years ago, and that is turning out to be a very positive thing, indeed.
