After you find out if you are stripes or solid you then must try to shoot all of your balls in first without getting the 8ball in. The 8 ball is the last ball that you shoot into the pockets, and if it goes in before you get rid of all of your balls than you lose.

The pool table can be made of a few different materials. Each material type has its good and bad characteristics, and each is good for a different type. Two more common materials used are wood and slate. Slate is a newer material used that is very smooth. An older material but common and affordable is wood surface. This surface warps very easily, and can make game play a bit difficult and bumpy.

The top of the table has a cloth covering it called felt. The material is composed of three fourths wool and one fourth cotton. Felt comes in a variety of colors, so your pool table does not have to look the same as everyone else\’s. It can be quite expensive to replace so be sure to take care of it, and brush it daily.
