The canopy of Oak trees sets the stage for Myers Park. Developed in the early 1900\’s, the neighborhood is inhabited by health care professionals, lawyers, political big wigs and those on the move.

Another landmark within the neighborhood of Myers Park is Queen\’s University of Charlotte; founded in 1857. This is a robust campus offering 32 majors, 80 minors and 10 graduate programs. It serves approximately 2600 students.

The next point of interest, is the Myers Park Country Club. The Myers Park Country Club is located on 176 acres and is one of the oldest clubs in Charlotte. It holds both the Platinum Club of America and Five Star Private Club rating.

Unique to The Myers Park Country Club is their \”Wine Society\”. It has over 180 members and offers wine enthusiasts special wine dinners held an average of eight times a year. Selected wineries and guest speakers make the evenings both educational and enjoyable.

As for the golf course, it was renovated in 2008 by Kris Spence, and represents a unique blend of classic and modern design. The 1945 Donald Ross layout has been updated with new greens complexes, re-shaped bunkers, and realigned and graded tee boxes.

The Myers Park Country Club Tennis Club is a brand new facility built in 2008 and features pro-shop, locker room/shower amenities, an outdoor wrap-around veranda with a fireplace, and 13 news courts (9 clay and 4 hard courts).

The Myers Park Country Club offers Men\’s and Women\’s Fitness Centers, Massage, Personal Training and Locker Rooms with Shower and Sauna Facilities.

The swim facilities include a large race pool and a baby pool. The \”Shark Shack\” provides daily snack bar services. Various activities are scheduled throughout the year.
