Nordic Track Treadmills – 3 Benefits of NordicTrack Treadmills
Buying a Nordic Track treadmill? Wondering if it\’s the right brand for you?
NordicTrack is one of the most popular treadmill brands currently on the market. The name is owned by ICON Health and Fitness, one of the largest fitness equipment makers in the world.
Their treadmills give you several benefits that other brands do not. These benefits can help give you a more enjoyable and productive workout.
Here\’s an overview of the 3 top benefits a Nordic Track treadmill can give you. (Note however that not all models come with these features – they are mainly found on this year\’s new treadmill models):
#1) Built-In Web Browser
Several new models carry a full 10 inch full-color, console web browser (powered by Android). It\’s a touch screen and it connects using the wireless Internet in your home.
So you can read emails, catch up on business news, play around on Facebook, watch online TV shows or just surf the net while you walk. This feature was introduced just this year and, no surprise, has been incredibly popular with buyers.
However it is fair to note that you do need to have wireless Internet in your home to be able to use the web browser on the treadmill.
#2) iFit LIVE
This is another feature that turns a boring old treadmill into your own personal fitness studio. Several of their treadmills come with iFit LIVE. This is a technology that also connects your treadmill to the Internet wireless in your home.
From there you can download new workouts to your treadmill (even some by famous fitness trainers!), run different trails all over the world using Googlemaps and track your workout progress over time to see how far you\’ve come.
Want to climb Diamondhead? How about running the streets of Paris? You can actually map out your own course using the Googlemaps feature or choose a famous trail.
While iFit LIVE used to require a module that you installed into your treadmill (at a small extra cost), several of this year\’s new models come with iFit LIVE built-in (so there\’s no extra cost).
#3) Decline
While most home treadmills include incline (which changes the slope of your treadmill), some of the new Nordic Track treadmills are now offering decline as well.
This gives you a whole new way to cross train your leg muscles. Plus when you\’re using it with iFit LIVE to run famous trails all over the world, it gives a much more realistic feel to your workout. You can get from 3% to 6% decline currently.
So those are some of the most unique benefits the Nordictrack treadmills are offering on their new models this year.
Some other benefits to these treadmills are that they are affordable, offer excellent cushioning, strong motors, extra long warranties and extra long belts. So you get a lot for the money with these machines.
Just be aware however that not all Nordic Track treadmills are created equal. Some offer better value than others. So do your research first and try to choose the model that best suits your fitness goals.
