It is rated as a 4 star SUV and comes with a 5 speed automatic transmission. It has a standard 2.3 liter, 240 horsepower engine that is turbo charged.

If you choose to go with the Acura RDX you will get 19 miles per gallon in the city and 24 miles per gallon on the highway. It is all wheel drive with the technology package and you can get a little more power out of this option as well. The 5 speed automatic transmission is standard on both trims and it comes in a variety of colors.

2. The Acura ZDX

The top of the line of the Acura SUV models is the Acura ZDX. It ranges from $46,000 to $56,570 with the most expensive options packages. It is a 4 door, five passenger vehicle that comes in 3 different trims. It can go from a 6 speed automatic transmission to a 6 speed automatic transmission with an advanced package.

The Acura ZDX is a carryover from 2010 and comes standard with a 3.7 liter, V6 engines that pushes a full 300 horsepower. This SUV achieves 16 miles per gallon in the city and 21 miles per gallon on the highway. It also comes standard with overdrive and you can choose from the many different colors for both the interior and the exterior.

3. The Acura MDX

The Acura MDX is the last of the three Acura SUV models and it ranges from $42,930 to $54,455. It can carry up to seven passengers with four doors and comes in 5 different trims. It is a carryover from 2010 and has a 6 speed automatic transmission along with the option for an advanced and entertainment package.

Many consider the MDX to be the most luxurious of the three models and it is not lacking in the performance area either. It comes standard with a 3.7 liter, V6 engine with 300 horsepower and just like the ZDX it gets 16 miles per gallon in the city and 21 miles per gallon on the highway. The Acura MDX also comes standard with overdrive.

Which is the Best of the Three Acura SUV Models?

Deciding which one of the Acura SUV models is better is not easy to do because they all scream luxury and they all perform very well. It is really all up to what you are looking for and what you plan to use your SUV for. If you do not need as much seating you may be very happy with the Acura RDX, but if you need the maximum amount of room you may want to upgrade to the Acura MDX.

Many consider the Acura MDX to be the top of the line, but if you get the advanced package with the Acura ZDX you are getting quite a luxurious SUV.
