The Popular Neighboring Towns of Charlotte

This is a good look at all the Charlotte homes for sale that you can choose from. Charlotte, NC is home to over a million people and offers plenty of great homes to choose from. The homes for sale in Charlotte tend to be priced a little higher than those of the surrounding areas. This is understandable, inasmuch as most of the job opportunities lie within the bigger city of Charlotte.

Certain sections of Charlotte have a higher level of residential homes mixed in with nearby businesses. These areas include Ballantyne, Southpark and University City. All three of these areas you can easily live, work and play in.

For residents living near uptown Charlotte, you should expect to pay a premium price for your convenience. These neighborhoods include Myers Park, Eastover, Dilworth, and Elizabeth. Each one of these communities borders what is commonly known as center city Charlotte.

As for living right uptown in the midst of it all, you will find that Charlotte has plenty of new homes offered in the way of condos and lofts. These are also quite pricey, many of which offer concierge services, roof top pools, and out door fireplaces along with gyms.

A couple of other local areas to check out would be the nearby towns of Huntersville, Matthews and Waxhaw. All of these are located right on the edge of Charlotte. They each offer a bit of a price reduction, most of which you will find in a lower tax base.

The other thing to take note of is that the home builders in these neighboring towns were the same ones that built homes all over Charlotte. The three towns mentioned below, are also all known for their excellent schools.

We can start with the town on Huntersville. This is one of the top relocation cities in the United States. Like other areas previously mentioned, you can live, work and play here. This area has a great deal of shopping, a new hospital, plenty of large businesses, and is located just a few miles south of Lake Norman. It is a midsized town with a lot going right for it.

The second town to check out is the town of Matthews. It is located to the east of Charlotte and is actually located in two counties. It is a quaint little town, with easy access to industry and nearby shopping to be found in Charlotte. Homes in Matthews may be a little older than Huntersville, as the growth in this area started decades before its counterpart in Huntersville. There is not a lot of commerce here.

And lastly, Waxhaw, this is just past Ballantyne in South Charlotte and is known for having great neighborhoods, most with swim clubs and lots of amenities. It is also known for having easy access to one of the more upscale sections of Charlotte. That being said, residents of Waxhaw have small strip malls to do their shopping in. For major shopping and for employment, they will have to travel to Charlotte.

Luckily, all three of these towns are well within a thirty minute drive of Charlotte. So, the choices in houses are really plentiful here. If you are shopping for Charlotte homes for sale, make sure to take a look at some of its bordering communities, you are sure to be impressed.
