JFuego Sangre De Toro Cigar Review

The J Fuego Sangre de Toro cigar sports a wrapper that is Nicaraguan Colorado tobacco. Both the filler and the binder are a blend of Nicaraguan Corojo and Criollo.

The inspiration for the name comes from the wrapper and not the band that is wrapped around the smoke, which is lettered in bright red. The name itself is Spanish for “bull’s blood.”

As is the standard with all smokes offered by this master blender, the J Fuego Sangre de Toro cigars are all filled from end to end with tobacco. You will notice that this impeccable smoke has no soft spots or saggy areas because of this.

The wrapper is of a reddish hue, as the name reflects, and is a bit marbled looking. It is fairly oily as well, but the veins were minimal.

Reviewers all agreed that before you even lit the J Fuego Sangre de Toro cigar, there was a very unique spicy flavor that none of them could quite define, yet they all said it was a very pleasant aroma. Upon lighting it, the spice remains, and a hint of a tea flavor can be detected in the first third which also featured the very good tobacco flavor in the background. There were also hints of a very hearty peppery taste that subsided quickly in the first third, but a nutty taste, like that of a cashew, remained throughout the first third.

As you begin the second third of J Fuego Sangre de Toro cigars, chocolate becomes a very dominant flavor along with some notes of cedar and strong hints of espresso and regular coffee. The last third of the J Fuego Sangre de Toro cigar finished off with an extreme earthy taste that was almost that of dirt but not unpleasant by any means. There were also hints of dill that are reminders of something like a pickle, and the sweet chocolaty taste was still present in the background in a very subtle way.

All of the reviewers said that this was a medium to full bodied smoke, and that the beginning of the smoke was no indication of how great it would become further in. It received high marks from those reviewing it saying that it was extremely enjoyable and boosted a somewhat complex flavor profile. One reviewer remarked that the spicy notes that are detected when sniffing the foot reminded him of a Chinese herb shop or an herbal shop of that nature.

All agreed that the draw offered very little resistance, and that there was a whole lot of smoke that just lingered. One reviewer noted that the smoke left him wishing he had brewed some fresh tea to enjoy with this stick, while another said that it would be best to enjoy this smoke with water so that you can truly get all of the complex flavors without being drowned out by an equally complex beverage.

It is no surprise that this master blender has again created something that is worthy of being called a premium cigar and accolades from everyone who gives it a try.
